Aerobic exercise is exercise which requires more oxygen than required at rest. It could be of light or could be of moderate intensity and could be continued for longer duration with minimum fatigue. it includes walking, jogging, swimming or cycling at a steady pace.

During aerobic activity, large muscles of body are moved repeatedly. Responses of body could be assessed quickly.

Through aerobic exercise weight-loss could easily be achieved. Aerobic exercise has a place in the management of diabetes, pregnancy, and aging.
